Even teachers get stressed out when trying to write. This is me writing in my backyard, trying to come up with some ideas and thesis for like 18-page grade school page. It helps when you have a plan, and some guidance & support when writing. When I can't write, I tell myself "Write now! Right Now!"
ABC Paragraph Writing
ABC Paragraphs is the style of academic paragraph writing at Atwater High School. This style can be adapted and become more sophisticated as writers begin to become familiar with using textual evidence in their writing, and elaborating that textual evidence.
ABC Paragraph Rubric
A rubric is a scale used to evaluate writing. The ABC Rubric provided is adapted from a SBAC (Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium) writing rubric. Using and elaborated textual evidence is a necessary Common Core writing skills for all subjects, including English. Students who are able to write using text-based evidence perform more proficiently on next generational assessments.
