A little about me . . .I have been teaching English for nearly 10 years, and I have my Masters in Rhetoric and the Teaching of Writing. I guess that makes me an expert, but because writing and teaching is so dynamic and rigorous, I feel like a perpetual student. I became a teacher because of my love of reading and learning. I knew that as a teacher I could read (and write) a lot and that my days would never be boring since I would have opportunity to learn from my students everyday. My academic and biographical history is as dynamic as my unique personality and non-linear (and sometimes meandering ) teaching style, so I'll leave that for my writer's bio page.

Recent NewsAs a veteran teacher, we sometimes become creatures of habit. However, this is my first year as the yearbook advisor for AHS! So this year I'm reinvigorated to spend time observing, learning, and listening. I'll probably also have a ton of questions, so my wonderful colleagues and bright-eyed students I look forward to getting to know YOU (and learning from YOU) as I continue to find my way around my new home. Thanks for the warm welcome!
